
Long Journey Via Dubai Awaits Wydad Ahead of Azam Confederation Cup Clash in Zanzibar
Wydad Athletic Club is set to embark on a journey to Zanzibar, Tanzania, tomorrow, Tuesday, in preparation for their CAF Confederation Cup group stage match against local club Azam. The trip is expected to last approximately 20 hours.
Wydad will depart Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca at 3:10 PM. Their flight is scheduled to arrive at Dubai Airport in the UAE around 1:40 AM, after approximately seven and a half hours in the air. The team's delegation will then have a layover of about eight and a half hours before continuing their travel to Zanzibar.
The flight from Dubai to Zanzibar is anticipated to last approximately five and a half hours, with Wydad expected to arrive in Tanzania on Wednesday around 2:10 PM. National coach Mohamed Amine Benhachem has scheduled two training sessions for the team in Tanzania on Wednesday and Thursday, ahead of their match against Azam next Friday, which kicks off at 5:00 PM.
