Wahbi: 'Morocco Will Win AFCON, We Just Need Calm and Trust in Players'

Mohamed Wahbi, coach of the Moroccan U20 national team, affirmed that the Moroccan national team possesses all the necessary ingredients to win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title. He emphasized that achieving this goal requires calmness and granting full confidence to the players.

In an interview with Al Arabiya Net, Wahbi stated: “The pressure is already there; all of Morocco wants the Africa Cup of Nations. The achievements of the youth will not put pressure on Regragui; rather, they will motivate him, because everyone today looks at Morocco as a country leading African football.”

He continued: “Morocco is the top favorite, and I know we will win the Africa Cup of Nations, God willing. The ambition is high, and all Moroccans want to win the tournament.”

He concluded: “All we need is calmness because we have all the ingredients. We must remain united and supportive behind the national team, believe in the players, support them in difficult times, and encourage them when things get complicated, and we will do that.”
