PSG's medical report did not specify Hakimi's recovery timeline, but it confirmed that the player will not require surgery. According to L'Equipe, his absence from the pitch is expected to last at least six weeks, with hopes of his return for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Hakimi's potential participation in the Africa Cup of Nations, hosted by Morocco, remains unclear. If his recovery period is indeed six weeks, Achraf could return to action five days before the tournament kicks off. This would potentially make him available to play from the knockout stages, should the Moroccan national team advance past the group stage.

The Africa Cup of Nations, hosted by the Kingdom of Morocco, is scheduled to begin on December 21 and conclude on January 18, 2026.
