French press reports have revealed the potential duration of Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi's absence from the pitch, following an injury sustained during his team Paris Saint-Germain's match against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

According to the French newspaper L'Equipe, Hakimi's recovery period could range from three to five weeks, with the exact duration to be confirmed after he undergoes additional medical examinations in the coming hours.

The Moroccan right-back is expected to undergo thorough medical examinations today, Wednesday, to determine the nature and severity of the injury, in preparation for establishing an appropriate treatment plan.

Hakimi suffered a serious ankle injury during the clash against Bayern Munich, following a strong tackle from player Luis Diaz, which forced him to leave the field in pain and tears just minutes before the end of the first half.

This injury comes at a very sensitive time, raising doubts about Hakimi's availability for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to be held in Morocco starting December 21.
