Paris Saint-Germain Delays Hakimi Scan Until Tomorrow Due to Ankle Swelling
French network RMC Sport confirmed on Tuesday evening that Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi will undergo detailed medical examinations on Wednesday to determine the nature of the injury he sustained and his potential recovery period.
The same sources explained that Hakimi underwent initial examinations immediately after his injury. However, Paris Saint-Germain's medical staff opted to postpone the detailed scans until the swelling in his left ankle subsides, which will allow for a clearer assessment of the injury's extent.
The Moroccan right-back was injured during his team's Champions League match against Bayern Munich, following a strong tackle from player Luis Diaz. He left the field in pain and tears just minutes before the end of the first half.
Hakimi's injury has raised concerns for both the Parisian club's coaching staff and the Moroccan national team, especially with the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations 'Morocco 2025,' scheduled to kick off on December 21.
