Fletcher (Scotland Player): "Heat Makes Training Difficult, But We Want to Make History at This World Cup"
Scotland international Tyler Fletcher has affirmed that the national team is competing in the 2026 World Cup finals with the ambition of making history, despite challenging conditions, particularly the high temperatures in the United States.
Speaking to the official Scotland national team page about their 2026 World Cup involvement, Fletcher stated: "It's a tough challenge, and of course the heat makes training difficult, but I'm comfortable and I feel ready to play."
He added: "I think everyone wants to make history at the World Cup, and that's what we all want. I'm a simple person; I just want to enjoy the experience, enjoy the moment, and I hope to get a chance to play in the World Cup."
Tyler Fletcher was called up to the 2026 World Cup squad to replace the injured Billy Gilmour.
Scotland has been drawn in Group C, alongside Morocco, Brazil, and Haiti.
