FIFA Officially Reveals 2026 World Cup Team Base Camps; Morocco to Stay at Pingry School in New Jersey
FIFA has officially announced the base camps for the national teams participating in the 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
According to FIFA's announcement, the United States will host the base camps for 39 participating teams, while seven teams will be based in Mexico, and only two teams will stay in Canada during the tournament period.
FIFA clarified that the process of selecting base camps officially began in 2024, with an initial list of the best available options presented to potentially qualified teams, which was then updated and refined throughout 2025.
Following the 2026 World Cup draw in December 2025, qualified teams began selecting their headquarters from over 60 available locations, taking into account the geographical areas where their group stage matches would be played.
The Moroccan national team will hold its preparatory camp during the World Cup at the Pingry School, located in the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area, as part of its preparations for the global competition.
The list revealed that Colombia, Iran, South Korea, Mexico, South Africa, Tunisia, and Uruguay have chosen to be based in Mexico. Canada and Panama decided to set up their camps within Canada, while the remaining teams will be located in the United States.
