Lahmidi Joins Lithuanian Club FC B One
Lithuanian football club FC B One has announced the signing of Moroccan forward Ismail El Maliki Lahmidi, formerly of Spanish club Hércules CF.
FC B One acquired Lahmidi from Hércules CF on a two-season contract. The player is just 20 years old.
Lahmidi began his football career with Hércules CF, progressing through all their youth ranks before deciding to move to the Lithuanian league for a new professional experience.
Lahmidi joins a list of Moroccan players who developed at Hércules CF, most notably Abde Ezzalzouli, currently with Real Betis. Ezzalzouli moved from Hércules CF to FC Barcelona years ago and is now attracting interest from several English clubs, who have expressed a desire to sign him, alongside Barcelona, who are considering buying out his contract after his impressive performances this season.
In a press statement, Lahmidi said, “I accepted the offer from Lithuanian club FC B One to wear their shirt, driven by my desire to embark on a new professional experience.”
Lahmidi highlighted that after consulting with those around him, he chose to move to the Lithuanian league for a new professional challenge, hoping to further develop his skills.
Lahmidi also took the opportunity to thank the officials of Spanish club Hércules CF, praising the training he received within their academy before representing their colors. He expressed his hope to succeed and shine with his new team and establish himself as one of the most prominent forwards in the Lithuanian league.
