Santos' Message to Fans Before Champions League Final: "We Need Patience Because the Match Cannot Be Decided in Five Minutes"

Alexandre Santos, head coach of AS FAR, discussed the crucial role the club's supporters will play in their decisive match against Mamelodi Sundowns in the second leg of the CAF Champions League final.

During the pre-match press conference, Santos stated: "Our fans are the 12th player on the team, and tomorrow we are in great need of their support."

Santos added: "I strongly believe they will come, and the stadium will certainly be full of fans who will help our players feel more motivated and more capable of giving their best, turning the match into an unforgettable one."

However, Santos also urged the fans to exercise patience, emphasizing that the match would not be decided in the opening minutes but would continue until the final whistle, with every moment potentially crucial in determining the champion.

The Portuguese coach remarked: "Of course, we also need the fans to be patient, because the match cannot be decided in just five minutes. Every minute until the end can determine who will win and who will lose."

AS FAR will host Sundowns tomorrow, Sunday, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, starting at 8:00 PM. The first leg concluded with a one-goal victory for the South African club.
