Paris FC Rejects Hosting PSG's Ligue 1 Title Celebration at Their Stadium

Paris FC has rejected a request from the French Professional Football League (LFP) to host the Ligue 1 trophy presentation ceremony for Paris Saint-Germain. The ceremony was intended to take place after the anticipated "Parisian Derby" between the two clubs next Sunday at the Stade Jean-Bouin.

According to Le Parisien newspaper, Paris FC management turned down the LFP's proposal, stating they would not accept the title celebration being held at their home ground.

The LFP had been considering the Stade Jean-Bouin as a potential venue for the trophy handover, especially since Paris Saint-Germain is on the verge of officially clinching the Ligue 1 title. PSG needs only a draw or a win in their postponed match against Lens today, Wednesday, to secure the championship.

This decision disrupts the LFP's plans, as the league had been seeking a suitable scenario for organizing the coronation celebrations. This comes amid security authorities' refusal to allow major ceremonies at some proposed locations in the French capital, Paris, according to French media reports.
