Paris Saint-Germain Announces Champions League Final Screening at Parc des Princes
Paris Saint-Germain has announced it will host a public screening of the Champions League final, featuring an English opponent, Arsenal, at the Parc des Princes on Saturday, May 30. This initiative aims to allow fans who cannot travel to the Hungarian capital, Budapest, to experience the atmosphere of the historic match at the club's home stadium, replicating a similar event held by the team last year.
The continental competition's final will take place at the Puskás Arena. The French club clarified in an official statement that ticket sales will prioritize subscribers and members of the "My Paris" program. The management also indicated its intention to reveal additional information regarding the event's organization next Thursday.
In an official statement, Paris Saint-Germain said: "On the occasion of this second consecutive Champions League final, the club once again wishes to offer fans the rare opportunity to experience this historic moment at the heart of the Parc des Princes, in unique conditions and in the spirit of great European evenings." In a related development, this decision coincides with confirmations from Emmanuel Grégoire, Deputy Mayor of Paris, that no public fan zones will be allocated in the streets of the French capital for watching the anticipated match.
The Parisian club secured its first title in this competition last season after defeating Inter Milan 5-0. That occasion saw a remarkable turnout from fans, with 38,000 tickets sold for the live screening at the stadium, priced between 10 and 40 euros.
