French League Requests PSG Coronation Ceremony at Stade Jean-Bouin
The French Professional Football League (LFP) has asked Paris FC to organize the trophy presentation ceremony for Paris Saint-Germain next Sunday. This proposal comes at the conclusion of the 34th and final matchday of the French League season. The celebration is scheduled to take place at Stade Jean-Bouin immediately after the match between the two teams, despite PSG not having mathematically secured the title yet.
This move follows the rejection by security authorities of a previous request from Paris Saint-Germain management to host the league title celebrations at their home ground, Parc des Princes. While fans eagerly await the official confirmation of the title during the postponed Matchday 29 fixture against Lens, the LFP is working to ensure all coronation arrangements are in place at the stadium hosting the final match of the current football season.
Paris FC had already made special plans to celebrate the end of their season, including honoring players whose contracts were nearing their end and organizing fireworks displays. As the club considers how to reconcile its own program with the League's proposal, the possibility of an official reception for the champion team at the Paris City Hall has also emerged. This reflects the ongoing coordination to organize the event amidst the security and logistical considerations surrounding the final matchday.
