Juventus Joins Clubs Interested in Lewandowski for €6 Million
Polish striker Robert Lewandowski continues to ponder his future as his contract with Barcelona nears its end. He faces several crucial choices in the coming weeks: accepting a renewal offer from the Catalan club or embarking on a new experience outside Spain, whether in Major League Soccer (MLS), the Saudi League, or even returning to the competitive atmosphere of Italy's Serie A.
According to Italian newspaper "Tuttosport," Barcelona has presented an offer to extend Lewandowski's contract for one additional season, but with significantly lower financial terms than his current deal, while maintaining a policy of performance-based incentives. This comes as the player considers accepting a less prominent role within coach Hansi Flick's squad, further complicating his negotiating position.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that several major Italian clubs have entered negotiations in recent days, led by Juventus. These clubs have directly contacted his agent, Pini Zahavi, capitalizing on the player's desire to remain in competitive European football rather than move to less competitive leagues.
Juventus is actively pursuing Lewandowski, offering an annual salary of €6 million, in addition to performance-related incentives and bonuses, with the assurance of a primary striker role in coach Luciano Spalletti's project. This offer, according to sources, is superior both economically and athletically compared to Barcelona's renewal proposal, placing the Italian club in a strong position to finalize the deal in the coming weeks.
Lewandowski has also received lucrative offers from outside Europe, most notably from the Saudi League, which continues to attract stars with substantial salaries. Additionally, MLS club Chicago Fire has reportedly offered him a salary of up to €20 million annually until 2028. However, despite their significant financial value, these offers currently do not seem to align with his sporting ambitions.
The Polish striker's future remains open to all possibilities. Barcelona's management is aware that they might be heading into a new phase in their attack during the summer transfer window, while Lewandowski awaits a final decision based on a balance between financial stability and sporting ambition. Upcoming discussions are expected to officially determine his next destination.
