Champions League: Barcelona Wins, Remains in Play-off Positions

Spanish club Barcelona secured a victory at the Eden Arena in Prague, Czech Republic, after defeating Slavia Prague 4-2. This match was part of the seventh (penultimate) round of the league stage in the Champions League competition.

Slavia Prague opened the scoring through Vasil Kusej in the 10th minute. Fermín López then skillfully equalized for Barça in the 34th minute. The same player put the visitors ahead with a second goal in the 42nd minute. However, Robert Lewandowski inadvertently scored an own goal in the 44th minute, leveling the score for the home team.

In the second half, Barcelona secured all three points. Dani Olmo scored a magnificent goal in the 63rd minute, before Lewandowski atoned for his first-half error by scoring Barça's fourth goal in the 71st minute.

With this result, Barcelona climbed to ninth place with 13 points. They will now await the final round to try and ascend into the "top 8" to secure direct qualification to the Round of 16. Meanwhile, Slavia Prague exited the competition, their points tally frozen at 3, placing them 34th.
