Bellingham: "You Can't Win La Liga If You Drop This Many Points Against Barcelona"
Jude Bellingham has acknowledged the difficult situation Real Madrid finds itself in this season, particularly in La Liga. He attributed this to the numerous points dropped, which has placed the team in a complicated position heading into the decisive stages of the campaign.
Ahead of Real Madrid's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Bayern Munich tomorrow, Tuesday (20:00 GMT+1), Bellingham stated: "It's complicated, and this is not the place or time to go into details. In the league, especially at home, we dropped a lot of points. You can't win the title if you lose this many points against Barcelona. And away from home too, that can't happen."
Despite this setback, the English star emphasized that the title race is far from over, asserting that the team still believes in its chances. He concluded his statement by saying: "I don't think the battle is over. We are behind, but we must focus on tomorrow's match. It's a big day."
Real Madrid previously lost the first leg of their Champions League tie against Bayern Munich 2-1. In La Liga, the team currently sits in second place, nine points adrift of leaders Barcelona, having suffered five defeats and four draws this season.
