Neuer: "Real Madrid Can Beat Any Opponent, We Understand the Challenge"
Manuel Neuer, Bayern Munich's goalkeeper, affirmed that the Champions League clash against Real Madrid remains open to all possibilities, despite his team's advantage after the first leg.
Speaking at the pre-second leg press conference, Neuer stated: "Real Madrid is a team capable of defeating any opponent if they are on their day, but we possess the same capability, and we have previously beaten them at the Bernabéu."
He added: "We are not focusing on a specific player like Vinicius, because we are facing Real Madrid as a complete team, not just individual names."
He continued: "We have a one-goal advantage, but it doesn't mean much against a team the size of Real Madrid. We understand the difficulty of the challenge, but we are relying on our fans for the second leg."
Bayern Munich had secured an important away victory with a 2-1 scoreline in Madrid, thanks to goals from Harry Kane and Luis Diaz, while Kylian Mbappé scored the goal to narrow the deficit for the Spanish team.
The Allianz Arena is set to host the return leg between the two teams tomorrow, Wednesday, kicking off at 8:00 PM (GMT +1), in a decisive match to determine who qualifies for the Champions League semi-finals.
