Mbappe: 'Playing for Real Madrid is a Gift from God'
Real Madrid player Kylian Mbappe has expressed his happiness and gratitude at being part of the royal club, describing it as "a gift from God." His comments come ahead of the team's trip to Germany to face Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.
The French international told GQ magazine: "Playing for Real Madrid is a gift from God. I have the opportunity to live my passion, play the best matches, and belong to the best club in the world. I am always grateful to be on the pitch and to wake up every morning to do what makes me happy."
He continued: "I love being at the Bernabeu and feeling the roar and support of the fans, in the best stadium in the world, in a country that is considered one of the best in the world for football."
Mbappe concluded: "I have developed as a player. With time, you understand the game and realize that it's not just about what you do with the ball, but other things: teamwork, consistency, and responsibilities. Today, it's not enough to be talented; what makes the difference is consistency and maintaining a high level."
Real Madrid is set to face Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena tomorrow, Wednesday, at 20:00 GMT+1, hoping to overturn the aggregate score after their 1-2 home defeat in the first leg.
