FIFA officially approved on Wednesday the change of sports nationality for striker Saifeddine Lazhar, making him available to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation for upcoming matches.
Official documents confirmed the 19-year-old player's switch from the Royal Belgian Football Association to the Moroccan national team. This move positions him as a future attacking option for the "Atlas Lions," following his confirmed decision to represent Morocco.
Born on December 11, 2006, Saifeddine Lazhar plays as a striker for Belgian club Young Genk, which he joined in March 2024. He currently competes with the team in the Belgian Challenger Pro League.
In a related development, FIFA also officially announced the change of sports nationality for player Rayan Bounida, from Belgian to Moroccan.
The 20-year-old, who plays for Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam, is now eligible to represent the Moroccan national team across various age categories in the upcoming period.
