Pyramids Lodge Complaint Against Mauritanian Referee Dahane Beida Following CAF Champions League Exit
Pyramids FC has lodged an official complaint with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) against Mauritanian referee Dahane Beida, who officiated their match against AS FAR in the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals.
Pyramids were eliminated from the continental competition after suffering a 2-1 defeat at home to AS FAR. The first leg in Rabat had ended in a 1-1 draw.
In their communication to CAF, Pyramids protested against several decisions made by Mauritanian referee Dahane Beida, stating that he made errors that unfairly disadvantaged the team against AS FAR.
The Egyptian club believes they should have been awarded two penalties in the second-leg match, including an incident in the first half that was reviewed by VAR but not given by the referee.
