Federation Congratulates AS FAR After Reaching CAF Champions League Semifinals

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has congratulated AS FAR following their qualification for the CAF Champions League semifinals, a significant achievement that brings the military club back to the forefront of continental competition.

A statement from the Federation read: "Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, on behalf of himself and the members of the Federation's steering committee, extends his congratulations to AS FAR on their qualification for the CAF Champions League semifinals."

This qualification marks AS FAR's fourth appearance in the competition's semifinals in their history, and their first in the modern era of the tournament.

The team's last presence in this stage was in 1988. They had previously reached the semifinals in 1968 and 1985, winning the title in the latter year, with 1988 being their last appearance before their current return.

AS FAR secured their qualification by defeating Egyptian side Pyramids FC in the quarterfinals. They won the second leg 2-1, after the first leg had ended in a 1-1 draw.
