Santos: "Fans Deserve Another Champions League Game After Three-Match Absence"
AS FAR Rabat qualified for the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League after defeating Egypt's Pyramids FC 2-1 in the second leg of the quarter-finals, following a 1-1 draw in the first leg. This marks the fourth time the military club has reached this stage in its history.
Following the match, Santos stated: "This qualification is for the fans first, and then for the players, because they made history. They had previously made history by reaching the quarter-finals twice in a row."
He continued: "This is a historic moment for AS FAR Rabat and for Morocco. We haven't achieved this in almost 40 years."
He added: "We are very happy, and thanks to the fans who made the effort to be here. They deserve to return to Morocco happy."
He concluded: "The fans deserve to see their team play a match in the CAF Champions League after being deprived for three consecutive games."
Santos's remarks came after an exciting match that saw AS FAR Rabat players shine, dominating the encounter and writing a new chapter in the Moroccan club's history.
