Fatal Tigers Announce Boycott of Yacoub El Mansour Match Over Limited Ticket Allocation
The "Fatal Tigers" Ultras group, supporters of Maghreb de Fès, announced their boycott of the upcoming match against Ittihad Yacoub El Mansour due to the limited number of tickets provided for visiting fans.
In a statement, the group wrote: "Given this incomprehensible insistence on maintaining the same meager number of tickets, which is unworthy of MAS's stature, and in the absence of any serious indications to review or correct the decision in line with national football standards, we believe that continued silence is no longer an acceptable option in the face of this absurdity."
They added: "We have given sufficient time and awaited a gesture of fairness, but reality confirms there is no genuine will to address the shortcomings or correct the course. To avoid a repeat of what we witnessed in the previous match in Rabat – the restrictions, clashes, and scenes unworthy of national football's reputation – we refuse to subject our fans once again to chaotic organizational conditions that could lead to tensions we can well do without."
The group concluded its statement: "The dignity of MAS fans is paramount. Therefore, we announce our boycott of the upcoming match against Ittihad Yacoub El Mansour, and we call upon all our fans who intended to travel from various cities to comply with the group's decision, in commitment to and preservation of our supporters' dignity. Freedom for Moroccan fans."
It is worth noting that Ittihad Yacoub El Mansour is set to host Maghreb de Fès this coming Friday (21:00 GMT+1) as part of matchday 13 of the Botola Pro Inwi. The game will take place at the Olympic Stadium in the capital, Rabat.
