MAS Fes Protests Sonarges "Obstacles," Threatens Legal Action
Maghreb Association Sportive de Fès (MAS Fes) issued a strongly worded statement on Sunday evening, expressing its severe anger over what it described as "unjustified actions" by the official responsible for managing the Fes Grand Sports Complex, which is affiliated with Sonarges. The club affirmed that these practices directly hindered the team's preparations and disrupted its sports program.
The club clarified that its relationship with the aforementioned official has faced continuous obstacles for some time, despite MAS Fes dealing with them with "wisdom and flexibility" in hopes of overcoming them. However, according to the statement, the situation has now reached an "unacceptable level" after the team was prevented from using the weight training room, which the club had renovated and equipped at its own expense. This denial occurred despite an official request submitted on November 28 to utilize the room for sessions on November 30 and December 1, with the club committing to all its obligations.
MAS Fes affirmed its categorical rejection of these "arbitrary practices that lack any legal or regulatory basis." The club announced its reservation of the right to resort to all available legal procedures to put an end to this situation, emphasizing that it is not demanding any special privileges, but rather respect for the mutual rights and obligations between all parties.
The club concluded its statement by asserting that "MAS is not a short wall" and that the will of its members is stronger than any obstacles. It reiterated its commitment to serving the national sports project and aligning with the high royal directives aimed at developing Moroccan football.
