Former Egyptian international Ahmed Shobier sent a strong message to his compatriot Hussein El-Shahat, following his attempt to provoke El Jaish El Malaki players during Al Ahly's final CAF Champions League group stage match.

Shobier commented: "I am one of Hussein El-Shahat's biggest believers, but will we continue to argue in every match? Why do you do that? What is the benefit? You are a very kind person, a good son of this country."

El-Shahat attempted to provoke El Jaish El Malaki players and committed a foul against Rabie Hrimat, in an effort to distract the players and agitate them, during the match which ended in a (0-0) draw at Cairo International Stadium.

It is worth noting that El Jaish El Malaki and Al Ahly both qualified for the CAF Champions League quarter-finals, with the former finishing as runner-up (9 points) and the latter topping Group B (10 points).
