Lekjaa: AFCON Success a Stage in Morocco's Journey to Host Major Sports Events
Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, praised Morocco's successful organization of the recent Africa Cup of Nations, affirming that the event served as an organizational model reflecting the Kingdom's development and the capability of its companies and national cadres to ensure the success of major continental events.
Lekjaa considered the Kingdom's hosting of the continental tournament a new step in its preparations to host future global sporting events.
During the "Moroccan-Spanish-Portuguese" Business Forum on the "2030 World Cup," Fouzi Lekjaa stated: "I cannot open these proceedings or these works without speaking, and without congratulating His Majesty the King, may God assist him, the Moroccan people, Moroccan companies, and all individuals who contributed, directly or indirectly, to the organization of the Africa Cup of Nations, which concluded approximately three weeks ago, under exceptional circumstances that reflect the level of development and progress our country has achieved, and the capabilities of our companies."
He added: "Everything was accomplished, built, and organized by Moroccan companies and Moroccan cadres, and this is an opportunity to mention and congratulate them once again."
He continued: "This naturally reflects the dynamism and development that Morocco is experiencing at all levels."
He concluded by saying: "This edition of the Africa Cup of Nations confirmed the Kingdom's involvement in an exceptional organizational development process, and it constituted a stage within a path that will lead us towards organizing major sporting events."
