Hearing for Senegalese Side in AFCON Final Case Postponed to Tuesday
The Disciplinary Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has decided to postpone the hearing for the Senegalese side, related to the "unfortunate incidents" that occurred during the Africa Cup of Nations final against Morocco.
The hearing for the Senegalese side was postponed until Tuesday, at the request of the Senegalese party, a decision approved by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.
The remote session will be held on Tuesday, with the attendance of several members of the Senegalese Football Federation, alongside Pape Thiaw, coach of the "Teranga Lions."
It is worth noting that the Senegalese national team initially decided to withdraw from the Africa Cup of Nations final against Morocco, protesting the referee's decision to award a penalty to the "Atlas Lions." However, the "Teranga Lions" later reversed their decision and returned to complete the match.
The Senegalese side's decision to withdraw was accompanied by a charged atmosphere and tension, marked by unfortunate incidents and acts of hooliganism from some Senegalese fans. Despite this, the "Teranga Lions" secured the title in the first half of extra time in the final.
