Directorate General of National Security Denies Rumors of Deaths Among Private Security or Ball Boys During Africa Cup Final

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has clearly and decisively refuted claims circulating on some social media platforms regarding the death of a security guard at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat. These claims alleged that the death resulted from a criminal assault, coinciding with the Africa Cup of Nations final.

In a statement, the Directorate clarified that its services did not detect any fatalities among private security personnel or ball boys. Furthermore, no incidents involving the discovery of a body due to match-related disturbances were recorded.

The DGSN affirmed that this information was accurately verified after coordination with various health institutions.

In a related context, the General Directorate of National Security expressed its condemnation of the dissemination of what it described as false and misleading news. It stressed that it has notified the competent judicial authorities of the content of these publications, requesting the initiation of judicial investigations to identify the parties responsible for their spread and to take the necessary legal actions against them.
