
Lille Announces Ighaman Suffers ACL Tear, Out for Several Months
French club Lille has issued an official statement regarding the injury sustained by its Moroccan player, Hamza Ighaman, during the "Atlas Lions" match against Senegal in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final.
Medical examinations undergone by Ighaman revealed that he has suffered a tear to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee, a serious injury that will keep him off the pitch for several months.
The club stated that it will make every effort to support the player throughout his recovery period, wishing him a speedy recovery and a stronger return to the team.
