Sofyan Amrabat Undergoes Ankle Surgery After Africa Cup of Nations
Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat is scheduled to travel to the Netherlands in the coming hours to undergo surgery following the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations "Morocco 2025".
Amrabat will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right ankle to treat an injury sustained approximately two months ago after colliding with his teammate Isco.
Sofyan Amrabat played only a few minutes in the Africa Cup of Nations before coach Walid Regragui opted to keep him on the bench, relying entirely on Naïl El Aïnaoui.
Amrabat is expected to undergo the arthroscopic procedure this coming Thursday or Friday, after which he will return to Seville to begin a rehabilitation program before rejoining his team, Real Betis.
