Prince Moulay Rachid Receives Moroccan National Team in Rabat Following Royal Instructions

Following high instructions from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid received members of the national football team on Monday at the Guest Palace in Rabat. The team had reached the final match of the Africa Cup of Nations (Morocco-2025).

On this occasion, the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa, the national team coach, Mr. Walid Regragui, and the national team members greeted His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid before a commemorative photo was taken.

This reception reflects the significant attention His Majesty the King consistently dedicates to youth and supporting their development through sports, as well as the special care His Majesty gives to the sports sector in general, and football in particular.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI had sent a congratulatory message to the national team members immediately after the final match against the Senegalese team. In his message, His Majesty affirmed that through their distinguished journey in the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, the Atlas Lions proved that “perseverance, seriousness, and team spirit are the way to achieve accomplishments. You have presented to the world a model of what Moroccan and African youth can achieve when armed with confidence in their talents and capabilities.”

His Majesty the King's message also stated: “Furthermore, with the composure and honorable heroic performance you displayed, you have demonstrated the importance of our strategic vision in investing in human capital and in modernizing the Kingdom's infrastructure, which has proven its robustness and global readiness in anticipation of hosting the 2030 World Cup competitions.”
