Al-Shouali: "I Retract My Previous Statement... Morocco is Capable of Competing For and Winning the World Cup"
Tunisian commentator for beIN Sports, Issam Al-Shouali, has retracted his previous statements regarding the impossibility of an Arab national team winning the World Cup, emphasizing that the Moroccan national team is capable of achieving this feat.
Al-Shouali's remarks came during his commentary on the Africa Cup of Nations final, which pitted the Moroccan national team against its Senegalese counterpart, with the latter ultimately winning the title.
Al-Shouali stated: "I retract my previous words when I said that I, my children, and my grandchildren would never witness an Arab national team lifting the World Cup."
The Tunisian commentator continued, saying: "Today, I believe Morocco is capable of competing, and I predict they will win the title."
