Regragui: "The Players Cried in the Dressing Room, and I Take Responsibility for the Loss"
Walid Regragui, coach of the Moroccan national team, confirmed that he takes full responsibility after losing the Africa Cup of Nations title to Senegal (1-0), noting the players' emotional impact following the defeat.
Regragui stated in the post-match press conference: "We know the pressure the fans were under, and the players also cried in the changing room. I am proud of this team, especially after the performance they delivered since the start of the competition."
He added: "The players did not give up and were close to winning the title. We must accept that, and I am not one to hide. Today we lost, and I am the one who takes responsibility."
