Hakimi: 'We Gave Our All But Missed Title, Will Work to Make Fans Happy'
Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi affirmed that the national team spared no effort on the field during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, expressing his disappointment after losing the title.
Speaking in a television statement on the sidelines of the national team's reception at the Guest Palace by Prince Moulay Rachid, Hakimi said: "We thank His Majesty King Mohammed VI for receiving us at the Royal Palace. We are upset about what happened yesterday, but proud to represent Moroccans."
He added: "None of us spared any effort on the field, but unfortunately, we couldn't achieve the title, which was our goal from the beginning. We will continue to work to make the Moroccan fans happy in the upcoming World Cup."
It is worth noting that the Moroccan national team missed the opportunity to win the Africa Cup of Nations title, following their defeat to Senegal by a goal to nil in the final.
