Egypt Coach Hossam Hassan: Moroccan Infrastructure Elevated AFCON Level
Hossam Hassan, head coach of the Egyptian national team, lauded the high standard of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, emphasizing that Morocco's organization and infrastructure have significantly elevated the competition's quality.
Speaking at the press conference ahead of their semi-final clash against Senegal, Hassan stated: "This high level of the tournament is primarily attributable to the involvement of world-class African players, such as Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Achraf Hakimi, alongside the evolving mentality and tactical prowess of the teams, and the growing experience of the coaches."
He further added: "The elevated standard is also a result of the extensive capabilities and top-tier infrastructure available in the Kingdom of Morocco. This has intensified the competition among national teams and boosted the continental cup's market value."
The Egyptian national team is set to face Senegal tomorrow, Wednesday, at 18:00 GMT+1, at the Grand Stade de Tanger.
