Bennacer (Algeria Player): "All AFCON Stadiums in Morocco Are of Very Good Quality"
Algerian midfielder Ismaël Bennacer affirmed that the quality of stadiums in Morocco for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) is very high, emphasizing that playing in any specific stadium would not automatically give the Algerian national team an advantage.
During the press conference ahead of their Round of 16 clash against Congo, Bennacer stated: "For us, it doesn't matter where we play or the type of pitch; what matters is our performance on the field. Certainly, we might know this particular stadium better. I believe all the stadiums are of very good quality."
He added: "As we progress in the tournament, my teammates and I feel we have become more cohesive and confident. We will approach the match with everything we have and with full confidence."
Bennacer concluded: "We know that the Congo national team is a strong and well-rounded side, and they have delivered excellent performances against Senegal, Nigeria, and Cameroon. However, our goal is to win against them and deliver a high-level performance. The match will be difficult, and we respect our opponent, but we will put in every effort to achieve the best result."
It is worth noting that the Algerian national team is set to face its Congolese counterpart tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Prince Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat, kicking off at 5:00 PM (GMT+1).
