Senegalese Fan Dies in Road Accident While Traveling to Support National Team

A Senegalese football fan tragically died in a road accident on Saturday while en route to Tangier, Morocco. He was traveling to attend his national team's Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 match against Sudan. The accident occurred on the Rabat-Kenitra highway, and the Senegalese Football Federation announced the fan's death on Sunday. Senegal went on to win the match 3-1.

In an official statement, the Senegalese Football Federation said: "In these painful circumstances, the Senegalese Football Federation extends its sincere condolences to the grieving family, to the relatives of the deceased, and to all members of the Senegalese football family."

The Senegalese national team is preparing to face Mali in the quarter-final match scheduled for Friday, January 9, at 5:00 PM in Tangier.
