
Morocco Joins Four Nations for Strongest Defense After AFCON 2025 Group Stage, Conceding Only One Goal

Regarding the ranking of the strongest defenses after the group stage, Morocco, DR Congo, Egypt, Senegal, and Algeria share the top spot, each having conceded just one goal. They are followed by Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Comoros, who conceded two goals each, and then Côte d'Ivoire and Angola with three goals conceded.
Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Benin saw their nets shaken four times. Meanwhile, Gabon, Uganda, and Botswana recorded the worst defensive performances, conceding seven goals each, leading to their early and expected exit from the tournament.
