Dayo (Burkina Faso Player): "I Hope to Face Morocco in Africa Cup Final"

Youssoufou Dayo, a Burkina Faso player, affirmed that his national team will work hard to win the Africa Cup of Nations title, expressing his wish to face Morocco in the continental final.

Following their 2-0 victory over Sudan, Dayo stated in a press conference: "We are very happy. The group stage is over, and now we move on to the serious matters, which are the round of 16. As you well know, these are very strong and difficult matches, and every team has greater ambition to reach the quarter-finals."

He continued: "We are pleased with what we achieved today, and we finished the match with a deserved victory. We will now focus on good recovery, rest, and then prepare for the round of 16 as required."

He added: "We have a clear goal in our minds, which is to do our utmost, like the other teams, to win the title. This is our ambition too, and as they say, appetite comes with eating; the group stage is over, and now we will begin the real competition."
