Judicial police services, operating under the General Directorate of National Security, have initiated judicial investigations supervised by various territorially competent public prosecutor's offices. These investigations stem from suspicions of 118 individuals' involvement in criminal acts related to illegal speculation in tickets for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) football matches, currently being held in the Kingdom of Morocco.

These investigations were launched after the national security's digital vigilance system detected dozens of posts and advertisements on social media platforms offering tournament tickets for sale through illicit means and at prices exceeding their real value. Technical inquiries, supported by coordinated field operations, led to the identification and arrest of the suspects in several cities across the Kingdom, particularly those hosting matches for this continental event.

The criminal acts attributed to those arrested vary, including selling stadium access tickets outside legal channels, forgery and its use, tampering with electronic data processing systems, and defrauding individuals seeking to purchase tickets from the black market. Additionally, some are accused of preparing and disseminating false news related to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations competitions.

The suspects have been subjected to judicial investigations under the orders of the competent public prosecutor's offices. Several individuals have been presented in custody, while others are being prosecuted while at large, depending on the nature and extent of the criminal acts committed.

Meanwhile, security services affirmed that operations will continue in full coordination with the competent local authorities to combat all forms of speculation in Africa Cup of Nations match tickets. This will be achieved through both digital vigilance mechanisms and field interventions aimed at identifying and apprehending those involved, thereby preserving the integrity of the organization and ensuring legal and safe access for fans to the stadiums.
