Regragui: "It Doesn't Matter if We Face Cameroon or South Africa; There Are No Easy Matches"
National coach Walid Regragui acknowledged the difficulty of the match between the Moroccan national team and Tanzania, highlighting that the national players made several mistakes during the first half before scoring the winning goal in the second half to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals.
Regragui told beIN Sports: "The first half was not up to the required standard, and we did not enter the match well. We made many uncharacteristic mistakes, perhaps due to pressure, in addition to Ounahi's injury during yesterday's training session."
He continued: "We were fortunate for the first half to end in a goalless draw. In the second half, we controlled the flow of play, despite some apprehension. It's good to have a positive reaction."
He concluded: "Whether we face Cameroon or South Africa, it doesn't matter, because there are no easy matches, and today's game against Tanzania is proof of that. All teams play the game of their lives against us, and they all have a strong desire to beat us."
