Regragui: 'Diaz Needs Careful Handling Due to Limited Real Madrid Playtime, Prompting Early Changes'
National coach Walid Regragui emphasized the need for careful management of Brahim Diaz on the pitch, given his infrequent participation with his club, Real Madrid.
The Moroccan national team had already secured its official qualification for the round of 16, topping Group A, after defeating Zambia three goals to nil in their match yesterday, Monday, during the final round of the Africa Cup of Nations group stage.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Regragui stated: "Brahim must be handled with caution because he doesn't play much with Real Madrid. My role is to protect him so he can gradually raise his level, which is why we made substitutions very early."
The national coach concluded by saying: "Diaz is in a good mental state, and if it comes to fighting and competing on the pitch, he is ready for it."
