Regragui: "We Will Need Diaz If We Want to Win the Africa Cup of Nations"

Morocco national team coach Walid Regragui has praised Brahim Diaz's performance in the Africa Cup of Nations group stage, emphasizing that the Moroccan team will need him to win the continental title.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Regragui stated: "I am very happy with Brahim, especially since he had faced a lot of criticism during friendly matches and qualifiers because expectations for him were always high."

He added: "Currently, he is in the mental state I have been expecting from him for some time, and he has understood what we expect from him. Brahim is an important and essential player for us, capable of making a difference at any moment, and he has entered the competition with the right spirit and mentality."

Regragui continued: "We know that Brahim, especially in the final third, is a decisive and precise player who can give us the win from a single chance. We are happy with him, but what personally matters to me is not his goal-scoring, but his mentality on the field, and we know we will need him if we want to win the Africa Cup of Nations."
