
Diaz and El Kaabi Top AFCON Scorers with Three Goals Each After Zambia Win
Moroccan national team duo, Brahim Diaz and Ayoub El Kaabi, continued their impressive form in the Africa Cup of Nations, topping the goal-scorers' chart after the Atlas Lions' comprehensive 3-0 victory over Zambia in the third round of the group stage.
Brahim Diaz and Ayoub El Kaabi currently lead the goal-scorers' ranking with three goals each, sharing the top spot with Algeria's Riyad Mahrez, who also boasts three goals. Egypt captain Mohamed Salah, Nigeria star Ademola Lookman, and Ivory Coast player Amad Diallo are in second place, each having scored two goals.
Brahim Diaz opened his scoring account in the first round against Comoros, before adding a second goal in the second-round match against Mali. He then further increased his tally with a third goal against Zambia.
Meanwhile, Ayoub El Kaabi maintained his strong performance by scoring a goal against Comoros, before netting a brace in the match against Zambia, bringing his total to three goals.
