The Kingdom of Morocco witnessed numerous remarkable sporting achievements in 2025, significantly enhancing the country's standing at both continental and international levels. The senior Moroccan national team kicked off the year by securing an impressive streak of 18 consecutive victories in official and friendly matches, solidifying its position as one of Africa's strongest teams. The Moroccan 'A' national team also clinched the Arab Cup title after a distinguished performance in a highly competitive tournament against other Arab nations.

On the African continent, the Moroccan national team for local players, led by Tarik Sektioui, won the African Nations Championship (CHAN) title, defeating Madagascar in the final.

Among the youth national teams, the Moroccan U20 national team achieved another historic milestone by winning the FIFA U-20 World Cup for the first time. This triumph underscores Morocco's success in developing young talent destined to represent the nation on the international stage.

Furthermore, Morocco hosted the Africa Cup of Nations, a major continental event that brought together Africa's top national teams. The tournament is set to conclude on January 18, 2026.

On the individual front, Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi was crowned the African Player of the Year for 2025, a testament to the Paris Saint-Germain star's excellence on European and international pitches. Yassine Bounou also received the award for Best Goalkeeper in Africa, following his outstanding performances for both the Moroccan national team and Saudi club Al-Hilal.

In women's football, AS FAR Women made history by winning the CAF Women's Champions League for the second time, reaffirming the growth of women's sports in Morocco. The Moroccan U20 Women's National Team also added the North African Championship title to its accolades, after defeating Egypt in the final match.

Moroccan excellence was also evident in para-sports, where the Moroccan national team for dwarf athletes won the Mohammed VI International Cup, triumphing over Egypt's National Bank team.
