Tunisia Coach: "Mali Played a Great Game Against Morocco, and Reaching AFCON Last 16 is an Achievement for Me"
Sami Trabelsi, the coach of the Tunisian national team, spoke about their upcoming opponent in the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16, considering their progression to this stage an achievement for him.
Speaking at the press conference following the 1-1 draw with Tanzania, Trabelsi stated: "Our qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 is an achievement for me, as we have been absent from this stage in recent years. We are not satisfied with our performance or the result of the match."
He continued: "The most important thing is to qualify, and we will show a better performance in the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16. Now, a new tournament will begin, God willing."
He concluded by saying: "Mali is a good team, and they played a great match against Morocco, but they haven't been consistently good in all their games. The better team among us will advance to the next round."
