
Tunisia Reaches Africa Cup of Nations Last 16 as Group C Runner-Up After 1-1 Draw with Tanzania
The Tunisian national team has qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations last 16 after drawing 1-1 with Tanzania in their final Group C match on Tuesday.
Ismail Gharbi opened the scoring for Tunisia from a penalty kick in the 43rd minute. The match was held at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat. However, Faisal Salloum equalized for Tanzania just three minutes later, in the 48th minute.
With this result, Tunisia secured second place in Group C with four points. Tanzania finished third with two points, while Uganda was last with one point. Nigeria topped the group with a perfect nine points.
