AFCON 2025 Qualifiers: Senegal Tops Group After 3-0 Victory Over Benin

The Senegal national team concluded their Africa Cup of Nations group stage campaign at the top of their group after securing a dominant 3-0 victory over Benin in their match this Tuesday evening.
Defender Abdoulaye Seck opened the scoring in the 38th minute of the first half, followed by Habib Diallo who doubled Senegal's lead in the 62nd minute.
In injury time (90+7'), Senegal were awarded a penalty, which Cherif Diaw successfully converted to secure the third goal, reaffirming the dominance of the "Teranga Lions".
With this victory, Senegal concluded the group stage at the top of Group D with seven points, while Benin also secured qualification as one of the best third-placed teams.
