Senegal Kicks Off Africa Cup of Nations Campaign with "Comfortable" 3-0 Win Over Botswana in Tangier

The Senegal national team secured a 3-0 victory over Botswana on Tuesday in their opening match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations group stage, held at the Grand Stade de Tanger.
Nicolas Jackson netted the first two goals for the Lions of Teranga in the 40th and 58th minutes, before Cherif Ndiaye sealed the win with a third goal in the 90th minute.
This result places Senegal at the top of Group D with three points, while Botswana sits at the bottom of the group without any points.
