Senegal Coach Calls Up RS Berkane's Lamine Camara to Replace Injured Ilaix Camara for AFCON

The Senegalese Football Federation announced, via an official statement, the call-up of RS Berkane player Mamadou Lamine Camara, to replace Ilaix Camara, whose absence from the Africa Cup of Nations finals "Morocco 2025" due to injury has been confirmed.

The statement clarified that Senegal national team coach, Pape Thiaw, decided to invite Lamine Camara to strengthen the midfield of the "Teranga Lions," as part of the ongoing preparations for the upcoming continental participation.

The player is expected to arrive at the Senegalese national team's training camp in Diamniadio this Tuesday evening, to join his teammates and immediately begin technical and physical preparations.

Mamadou Lamine Camara is considered one of the players who has delivered outstanding performances with his club, RS Berkane, making him a suitable choice to compensate for Ilaix Camara's forced absence, as the technical staff seeks to maintain the team's balance and competitive strength.
