El Aynaoui: "Frustrated by Draw, We'll Aim to Keep Top Spot to Play All Our Matches Here"
Morocco international Naïl El Aynaoui expressed his regret following the "Atlas Lions'" 1-1 draw against Mali in the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations group stage. He stressed the importance of moving forward to achieve a positive result in the upcoming match against Zambia.
"I am frustrated with this result," El Aynaoui told reporters after the match. "We must move forward quickly and focus on the next game. We are still at the top of the group, and we will try to maintain this position to play all our matches here."
The player added that "small details" cost the national team the draw. He explained, "Perhaps we made mistakes in our organization, and we pushed the midfield too far back. These are things that need to be corrected and paid attention to in the upcoming matches."
El Aynaoui praised the large crowd atmosphere during the match, stating, "I rarely see an atmosphere like this. The atmosphere was amazing, and this encourages us to give our best."
The Moroccan national team player emphasized the group's need to focus on the next match, believing in the team's ability to improve their performance and secure qualification for the round of 16.
